Octagon the Neil Sagewood trio is a collaborative project with Charlotte Sagewood on bass, and Ben Walsh on drums.Recorded in Neil's home studio on an amazing australian Beale grand piano that has a unique sustained tone,the Octagon album delivers dynamic live in the studio performances which convey the fun, playful, tender and deeply reminiscent qualities of Neil's compositions.

The Trio played many gigs in 2018 with various rhythm sections and the highlights were the Tathra Hotel gig with Greg Sheehan and old mate Jon Travena [Trapper] on percussion, and the Castlemaine Jazz Festival with Bobby Demelion on Congas. Here are a couple of songs from those gigs.
Great gig at the theatre royale in Castlemaine for the Jazz Festival 2018. Big old school sound system inspired us to groove hard. Neil Sagewood Keys, Charlotte Sagewood bass, and Bobby Demelion congas.
Live at the Tathra Hotel July 2018, the Octagon line up was Neil Sagewood keyboards, Charlotte Sagewood bass, Greg Sheehan drums, and Jon Travena percussion. This was a great gig at a beautiful venue and wonderful in-house sound.

'Babalu' is the latin jazz band formed by Neil and columbian singer Irma Monsalve. Sourcing the best local musicians, Babalu gained popularity and headlined multicultural festivals such as Bicardi Fesival, Carnivale. They continue to make audiences dance with their infectious jazz infused, latin grooves.

'Moodswing' is a collaboration of some of outer Sydney's hottest jazz players
who perform regularly in the Blue Mountains.
